SCRIPT:

(Except for ACTOR 1, ALL ACTORS enter one at a time
to recite their word or phrase then pose in a position
like they are leaning or bracing themselves on thin air.
Have them pose haphazardly around the stage,
but not too far apart from each other.
All of these phrases are said with defiance.)

ACTOR  2   I’m doing things MY way!  Immoral,
.          unrighteous, sinful, wicked, with evil intent.
.          And they call me lost and astray!

ACTOR  3   They call it idolatry.  I will worship
.          anything – except for God.  I HATE God!

ACTOR  4   I am - arrogant, proud, insolent and rude.

ACTOR  5   Without understanding, I like to act
.          unreasonable, foolish, ignorant.

ACTOR  6   Maybe I am disobedient, and hypocritical.

ACTOR  7   It just feels right!  Lusting, impure,
.          corrupted, having a depraved mind.
.                                                       2
ACTOR  8   To get by, I have to be untrustworthy,
.          tricky, crafty, scheming, deceitful, lying.

ACTOR  9   Survival for me is envy, greed, jealousy,
.          coveting, stealing.

ACTOR 10   It’s what works!  Boasting, slander, gossip,
.          abusive speech, making ultimatums and threats.

ACTOR 11   It’s just what I am.  A racist, hateful,
.          unmerciful, with a calloused, hardened heart.

ACTOR 12   It’s the only thing I know.  Bitterness,
.          wrath, anger, clamor, strife, malice...
.          murder.

(SOUND EFFECT OF WIND - or ACTOR 1a makes
the sound of either wind blowing or says “BAM!”
ALL ACTORS fall down, shocked that they did.
As ACTORS get up, wondering, they argue and accuse
each other about who caused their downfall.  Meanwhile-
ACTOR 1b steps out and places a podium with a Bible
on the opposite side of the stage from the microphone,
then goes to microphone to recite Proverbs 3:5-6 NAS
with bold commanding, confidence.)

ACTOR 1b   Trust in the Lord with all your heart
.          And do not lean on your own understanding.
.          In all your ways acknowledge Him,
.          And He will make your paths straight.

(ALL ACTORS think about this as they exit to start over,
entering one at a time to recite their words and phrases,
then go to the podium to pose.  ACTOR 2 leans on podium
with an elbow.  The ACTORS that follow, [lightly] lean
on each other with an elbow on the ACTOR in front of them
in a nice straight line with humble expressions.)

ACTOR  2   I’m doing things GOD’S way!
.          I have been made new!
.          Recreated – in righteousness and holiness!
.          Free from sin.
.          Walking in a worthy way.  Saved!

ACTOR  3   I LOVE God.  I worship Him alone!

ACTOR  4   I try to be humble, thankful, gentle,        3
.          caring, nice.

ACTOR  5   With growing knowledgeable and wisdom,
.          I try to be reasonable and mature.

ACTOR  6   My goal is to be obedient, devoted,
.          disciplined, hardworking, consistent.

ACTOR  7   What is right?  To be pure, compassionate,
.          good.

ACTOR  8   I don’t just want to get by, I want to be
.          honest, truthful, faithful, helping.
.          I choose to be a bondslave.

ACTOR  9   Survival for me, is to share!
.          Giving generously - serving others.

ACTOR 10   To get along - what truly works -
.          is being submissive.  With wholesome speech,
.          admonishing when necessary, always edifying,
.          praiseful, gracious.  Honoring all people.

ACTOR 11   It is what I need to be!  Tolerant,
.          compassionate, hopeful, kind, and merciful,

ACTOR 12   This is what I know – to have righteous anger,
.          striving to be patient, forgiving,
.          peaceful, tender-hearted,
.          always seeking unity...
.          LOVE!  Everything done in love!

(SOUND EFFECT OF WIND - or ACTOR 1a makes
the sound of either wind blowing or says “BAM!”
ALL ACTORS stand solid without wavering.)

ACTOR 1b   Trust in the Lord with all your heart
.          And do not lean on your own understanding.
.          In all your ways acknowledge Him,
.          And He will make your paths straight.

(ALL walk off with loving camaraderie.)
